The Counselling for successful candidates under 15% All India Quota seats and all seats of Deemed Universities/Central Universities/Seats including AIIMS, JIPMER, ESIC & AFMC, Delhi University (DU), BHU & AMU will be conducted by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on behalf of Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). It is expected to begin from 21st July 2025 for MBBS and BDS Courses.
Counselling for Seats Under 15% All India Quota and all seats in Central Institutions Including AIIMS, JIPMER, AFMC, ESI, DU, BHU, AMU and Deemed Universities
Online counselling is conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). Qualified candidates should visit www.mcc.nic.in for all updates. The counselling will occur in four rounds - Round 1, Round 2, Mop-Up Round, and Stray Vacancy Round. For more details and updates, candidates should regularly check www.mbbscounselling.com.
Candidates applying for State Medical Colleges or Private Medical Colleges (except Deemed) should follow respective State Government instructions. Categories and eligibility will be verified by state counselling authorities. NTA is not responsible for data changes or document verification after result declaration.
Note: All medical colleges in India, including AIIMS and JIPMER, will admit students through NEET UG 2025. MCC will handle AIQ and Deemed/Central University counselling, while State Authorities manage the 85% state quota seats and private colleges.
An All India Merit List will be prepared based on NEET UG 2025 scores. Admissions into Undergraduate Medical Courses will be done as per All India Rank and existing reservation policies. The admission to 15% AIQ and 85% State Quota will be governed by respective authorities and in line with MCI/NMC/DCI regulations.

Candidates need to visit the official MCC website to register for NEET UG Counselling 2025. Submit details such as NEET UG roll number, application number, name, date of birth, and security pin. Click 'Submit'. An agreement page will appear—click on 'I Agree' to continue. After confirmation, login credentials will be generated and shown on screen. Candidates must securely note down their password and security question.
In this step, candidates must enter details like their mother's name, father's name, and permanent address. Click on 'Submit'. These details must match those in the candidate's original documents and cannot be modified later.
Candidates will need to pay a non-refundable registration fee and a refundable tuition fee. Payment can be made through online methods such as Credit Card, Debit Card, or Net Banking. The fee details for NEET UG Counselling 2025 are as follows:

Once registration and payment are completed, a Registration Slip will be generated. Candidates are advised to download and print the slip for future reference. To proceed with choice filling and further steps, click on the 'Login's button.
The 'Available Choices' link will be enabled as and when the counselling process starts. On the left side of the screen, the available choices will be displayed on the screen. Candidates who will submit the fees for both 15% AIQ/Central Universities and Deemed Universities will be eligible to apply for both the category of seats.
It is mandatory to lock the choices for the final submission of preferences in NEET UG 2025 counselling. The choices can be modified until they are locked. If candidates do not lock the choices, the filled choices will be considered final and will automatically get locked on the last date as notified by MCC.
It is advisable to take a printout of the filled choices, as it will be useful for future reference during the NEET UG counselling process. Even if the candidates haven't manually locked their choices, they can take a printout after the automatic locking process.
After each round of counselling, the seat allotment result will be released. Candidates can download the seat allotment letter and view the allotment list that includes details like candidate's name, roll number, category, allotted institute, course, and quota. The allotment letter must be presented at the allotted college at the time of reporting, along with the required documents.
Candidates must report to the allotted college as per the schedule to complete admission formalities. The following original documents (with self-attested photocopies) must be submitted at the time of joining:
NOTE: Candidates without original documents will not be permitted to take admission in the allotted medical/dental college. If originals are submitted elsewhere, they must be retrieved in time for reporting.
At the time of registration for NEET UG Counselling 2025, candidates must pay two types of fees: a non-refundable registration fee and a refundable tuition fee. For 15% All India Quota (AIQ) or Central Universities, the non-refundable registration fee is INR 1,000 for UR candidates and INR 500 for SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates. For Deemed Universities, it is INR 5,000 for all categories. Candidates registering for both AIQ and Deemed University will be charged INR 5,000 as the higher non-refundable fee.
The refundable tuition fee is INR 10,000 for AIQ/Central Universities and INR 2,00,000 for Deemed Universities. This amount is refunded if the candidate does not get a seat or takes admission and completes reporting. If a candidate exits after seat allotment without joining, the refundable fee will be forfeited. Once joined, the fee will be adjusted in the tuition fee, and the candidate cannot participate in further counselling rounds.

Ans: The security deposit will be refunded after completion of the counselling process. It will be adjusted against the tuition fee of the college if joined, or refunded to the candidate’s bank account if no seat is allotted or joined.
